Philip C McIntire 1943 – 2025

Philip C McIntire It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Philip McIntire, a beloved partner of our firm, on January 31, 2025, at the age of 81.

Phil was a proud graduate of Glens Falls High School, Bowdoin College, and Harvard Law School. His dedication to community involvement was a cornerstone of his life. He served on the CWI Board of Directors, supported numerous local nonprofits, and was a devoted advocate of The Hyde Collection, where he was honored as a 21-year trustee.

His faith was also deeply important to him. Phil had a strong connection to the First Presbyterian Church in Glens Falls, where he served two terms on the Board of Trustees, including one as President, and was a two-time Ruling Elder. The church was grateful for his decades of service as both legal counsel and a trusted friend.

Beyond his professional and civic contributions, Phil had a passion for conservation, historic barns, and old homes—especially the cherished schoolhouse that became a gathering place for family, friends, and beloved dogs.

Phil was predeceased by his wife, Rita. He is survived by his children, Scott, Leigh Ann, Gregg, and Michael. We join his family in honoring his memory and the lasting impact he made on so many lives.

Phil’s enduring wish for all of us: Be kinder than necessary.
